Bill Cosby hires Michael Jackson's former attorney Tom Mesereau for retrial.

Bill Cosby has tapped Michael Jackson's former lawyer Tom Mesereau as the new legal whiz for his November retrial.

Mesereau famously won an acquittal at Jackson's 2004 child molestation trial.

He will now spearhead Cosby's fight against sex assault charges after the comedian's first trial in Norristown, Pa., ended with a hung jury in June.

"I'm not saying anything other than I can confirm that attorney Kathleen Bliss and I are going to be the lead lawyers in the case," Mesereau told the Daily News Monday, declining to comment on the merits of Cosby's three felony charges.

His spokesman said in an emailed statement that the comedian was "pleased to announce" his new legal firepower.

Mesereau and Bliss will also be joined by Pennsylvania lawyer Sam Silver, spokesman Andrew Wyatt said.

Pennsylvania Judge Steven T. O'Neill declared a mistrial June 17 after a jury chosen in Pittsburg and sequestered in Norristown hopelessly deadlocked following six marathon days of deliberations.

Prosecutors quickly pushed for a retrial, and Cosby's lawyers Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa asked O'Neill for permission to withdraw.

Mesereau, meanwhile, is well known for his work in high-profile Hollywood criminal cases.

He was the face of Jackson's team during the 2004 child molestation trial and also represented boxer Mike Tyson and actor Robert Blake.

He recently took a turn battling murder and attempted murder charges for rap mogul Suge Knight and represented Playboy Playmate Dani Mathers after she snapped a photo of a naked woman in a gym locker room and shared the pic on Snapchat.

Bliss is a former federal prosecutor now working in Las Vegas.
