Iran - Announces Long Range Missile possible to reach Europe, Israel, China and India.
Iran has announced that they have a new long-range ballistic missile that can reach Europe, Israel, China and India. The missile is called the Khorramshahr missile and it appeared at a military parade in Tehran. The Khorramshahr's range is 2,000 kilometers and can carry multiple warheads.
During the parade on Friday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made it clear that they would be strengthing their missile capabilities and military defenses:
"We will promote our defensive and military power as much as we deem necessary," Rouhani said. "We seek no one's permission to defend our land. Whether you like it or not we are going to help Syria, Yemen and Palestine, and we will strengthen our missiles."
Trump responded to the news with a tweet on Saturday:
"Iran just test-fired a Ballistic Missile capable of reaching Israel. They are also working with North Korea. Not much of an agreement we have."
Rouhani noted that the United States and Israel are isolated due to the nuclear agreement that was made back in 2015. He made it clear that Iran remains fully committed to the pact.
